Like many policymakers, most bankruptcy lawyers from Columbus OH expected the overall bankruptcy rate to decrease following the implementation of the Bankruptcy Abuse Consumer Protection Act in October of 2005. And it did somewhat derease shortly thereafter but that may be attributed to the massive numbers of people who rushed to file for bankruptcy protection prior to the stricter guidelines being introduced to the financial world.

With increasing alarm and growing concern, Americans are watching their beloved nation swim in deeper and deeper in churning waters without the benefit of a life jacket. In January of 2009, the national average unemployment rate was 8.1%. More than unemployment rate was 12.5 million people are currently unemployed in the wonderful land of incomparable opportunity. The opportunity is definitely there for many bankruptcy lawyers from Columbus during these dark, blistery times.
